Former King, Kevin Martin's Home in Foreclosure

Former Sacramento Kings guard, Kevin Martin, looks to be in process of defaulting on his Rocklin home.  According to the Sacramento Bee, he is behind in his payments in the amount of $44,000.  The lender has issued a notice of default to Martin, which is typically the first part in the foreclosure process.

Kevin Martin's attorney, Michael Hackard, has stated that the plan is not for foreclosure and that Martin is working with the bank on a short sale.

Kevin Martin originally purchased the 5,000 square-foot Rocklin home in July 2007 for $1.9 million and now he has the property listed for $1.1 million as an "active short sale."

Kevin Martin now plays for the Houston Rockets after he was traded mid-season by the Kings.  In 24 games with the Rockets, Martin averaged 21.3 points per game.
