Giants setup pitching rotation for NLCS

The San Francisco Giants have announced their pitching rotation for the NLCS against the Philadelphia Phillies.  Manager Bruce Bochy has decided to switch Matt Cain and Jonathan Sanchez, therefore the rotation will go Tim Lincecum, Jonathan Sanchez, Matt Cain, and Madison Bumgarner.

Bruce Bochy did say that it is not 100% that Bumgarner would pitch the fourth game and it would depend on where the series stands.

With the Phillies announcing their rotation today we can now give you the matchups.  The first game matchup could possibly be the best pitching matchup of all time.

Game 1: Tim Lincecum vs. Roy Halladay
Game 2: Jonathan Sanchez vs. Roy Oswalt
Game 3: Matt Cain vs. Cole Hamels
Game 4: Madison Bumgarner vs. Joe Blanton
Game 5: Roy Halladay vs. Tim Lincecum
Game 6: Jonathan Sanchez vs. Roy Oswalt
Game 7: Matt Cain vs. Cole Hamels

As is the case with both teams the fourth starter could be lifted for the #1 starter if the series is not going their way.  Especially if one team is facing an elimination game for game 4.
