NL Division Series Game 4: Giants 3, Braves 2

The Giants did it!!  They are going to the National League Championship Series for the first time since 2002.

We all knew that the outcome of this series would be based on how the pitching staff performed.  The starters pitched 29 innings and gave up 3 earned runs while striking out 36 batters and the bullpen....well the bullpen has been better.

The offense, on the other hand will have to get better.  Buster Posey has been their best hitter in the postseason with his .375 average and Cody Ross probably their most clutch.  Without Cody Ross' home-run in the sixth inning to score the first run and get the first it we could be talking about a Derek Lowe no-hitter.

Tim Lincecum will likely face Roy Halladay for the first game starting Saturday in Philadelphia.
