Giants avoid arbitration with four players

Today is a big day for the San Francisco Giants. The Giants front office came to agreement with a few of the arbitration eligible players, which is important since today was the first day that arbitration figures were to be submitted.

According to ESPN Deportes, the Giants first started their day by agreeing with reliever Santiago Casilla on a one-year deal worth a total of $1.3 million.

They also avoided arbitration with NLCS MVP Cody Ross, who signed a one-year $6.3 million deal, and also avoided arbitration with pitchers Jonathan Sanchez (one-year $3.7 million) and reliever Ramon Ramirez one-year $1.65 million.

The Giants still have to get deals done for outfielder Andres Torres and left-handed specialist Javier Lopez. Andres Torres is asking for $2.6 million, while Lopez is asking for $2.875 million.
