The San Francisco Giants have changed up the pitching rotation by having Tim Lincecum take Madison Bumgarner's place in tomorrow's start. The move will allow the Giants to give Bumgarner an extra few days of rest as well as have Lincecum ready for a one-game playoff if it is required. It will also allow the Giants to pitch against the Padres on Sunday if they need to have him go.
If Lincecum does not go on Sunday then the Giants will likely send Jonathan Sanchez.
