49ers vs. Buccaneers: Buccaneers Take 7-0 Lead

We are into the second quarter of the 49ers game and the first score has from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.  The Buccaneers marched down the field for 80 yards in 14 plays.  Cadillac Williams scored a touchdown on 6-yard run up the middle to cap off an excellent drive.  The 49ers run defense was supposed to be the 49ers strong point but so far this game they have given up 77 yards on the ground.

Did someone kidnap Mike Johnson and replace him with Jimmy Raye?  The 49ers are getting nothing down on offense and have not tried to put the ball down the field to their receivers.  Troy Smith has attempted just 3 passes, the longest being 14 yards to Frank Gore.  The 49ers have won games by throwing the ball down the field and getting their wide receivers involved.  So far that has not happened.  For some reason they are running every play through Frank Gore and that is not a recipe for success.
